The Psychological use of Colour in Video Games

For my final university year dissertation, I looked into the question 'Do real world interpretations of colour also apply to video games or do video games have their own colour associations?' This project is allowing me to research in depth into colour and how it is interpreted psychologically and then typically in video games. to support this study, I created a game ready assets and environments to place in a questionnaire in which participants were asked how they feel towards the object or scene. I focused on 4 colours, Red, Blue, Green and Purple. All these colours have typical connotations within games already and in psychology and so I want to use this questionnaire to test if this was true or not.

All assets were created in 3DS Max, Blender, Substance Painter and then put together and rendered in Unreal Engine 4.
