Hover Bike VR Game
For a final year university group project we were tasked to create a VR hover bike game using a 4dof platform. The 4dof platform is a multidirectional platform in which the player could sit on with the VR headset and the platform would mimic the bike movements in game through the platform allowing for an immersive gaming experience.
We Made it a two player game in which the player 1 - the driver - has stolen technology to make the hover bike and is racing from one of the three random spawn points to the middle goal away from the police, while player 2 - the navigator - has a physical map which they can use to help guide player 1 away from obstacles and to find the best route to the goal.
The style for this game was a stylised environment with a Japanese architecture inspiration. Below are the assets I created for the game using 3DS Max, Blender for sculpting and Substance Painter. Also some of the final concept designs I created in Photoshop. For what you see below I put together the scene and rendered in Unreal Engine 4.
Below: My video render of the assets I created
(Left to right) Low poly model with wireframe, Lowpoly model, Hight poly model, Low poly model with high poly bake and textures.
